Congratulations to...
Matt Tarrant, centre manager at Littleton Manor Equestrian Centre in Surrey, proposed to his long term girlfriend, event rider, Kate Lukas over the festive period. Matt proposed at the end of the gallops at Littleton, overlooking the countryside and says: "The wedding date will probably be at the end of June 2012, as there's just too much going on in 2012, both here at Littleton and obviously in the South East in general. We both want to have the service in the local church and then the reception will be in almost exactly the same place as I proposed, as the views are stunning and it seems most appropriate."
Matt managed to find out Kate's ring size by using baler twine, "I discreetly measured the size of her ring finger with baler twine when an unsuspecting Kate was checking the foals." After the proposal Kate and Matt headed off to the Kent & Surrey Bloodhounds New Year's Day Meet before having dinner with friends and family to share the news.
Matt added: "We've certainly been touched by the sheer number of cards, gifts and Facebook messages from people congratulating us."
